CENTRAL CEMETERY IN VIENNA

The Zentralfriedhof - Central Cemetery of Vienna
is the second largest cemetry in Europe.
It was built 1874 and it is 2,4 square kilometres big.
I like the old monuments,
there is a very old jewish sector,
and many famous people have their graves here.
You can find wild animals -
they have found a silent place for living.

It seems to be a wonderful very old cemetery. It reminds me of Melaten here in Cologne.

april: the cemetery is wonderful - you can walk around between old trees and the old graves, it is very silent and for me romantic too.

Ingrid I love old cemeteries, they have so much history & it is always fascinating to me to wander amongst old graves. How nice that the wild animals have found a peaceful place to live in, too !
